Julie Brown is the founder and Executive Director of Agape Road.  As a hospice nurse for nearly 20 years, she has compassion for those who are nearing end of life, young and old. She is guided by her faith in God as He calls her to walk His children to the gates of heaven.

 

Suzanne Land currently serves as Vice President on the Board and Co-Founder of Agape Road.  She holds a Masters Degree in Nursing Education and currently works as a Transitional Care Coordinator at Integris Baptist.  Nursing is considered a calling for her, no matter what the position. Her partnership with Agape Road is no exception.

 

Karrie Pettyjohn is a native Oklahoman, whose passion is working with and helping others reach their potential. She is an RN, a 1990 BSN graduate of UCO and currently the Director of a Wound and Hyperbaric Center. She serves on the AGAPE ROAD board as Secretary/Treasurer and is excited to get this ministry operational.  She lives in Guthrie, OK., is married and is very blessed to have 7 grandchildren.

Ginger Barsotti is the Administrator and founding Owner of Physician’s Choice Hospice, overseeing operations of 5 offices located throughout the state of Oklahoma.  She is a Registered Nurse with an MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma, an Oklahoma Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, and has opened and facilitated many medical-based businesses in the state.  Ginger started Physician’s Choice Hospice in 2006 because she envisioned a hospice that truly put patient care as their highest priority every single day.

Debbie Whipple is the Supervisor of Intake for Physician’s Choice Hospice with oversight of patient intake at the five locations throughout the state of Oklahoma. She holds a BA in Communications from the University of Central Oklahoma and is an Arizona Licensed Assisted Living and Memory Care Administrator.  She has a background in Marketing and Communications and has managed senior living for the past 12 years.

In addition to patient care, he has served in management and consulting roles for Medicare providers and he was director of education and staff development for a college nursing program.

Melissa Hill is Co-Owner of Oklahoma’s Home Care Assistance and an advocate for bringing healthy lifestyle strategies into the homes of seniors. Melissa developed a passion for senior care and wellness issues in her role as communications director for a Medicare Quality Improvement Organization. There she worked to promote healthcare quality improvement and to engage health care providers, patients and communities in health care and aging issues.

Marilyn Olson is Director for VillagesOKC which is Oklahoma City’s first and only virtual community.  It’s a Plan not a place.   VillagesOKC, Inc is a non profit cooperative of like-minded mature adults who volunteer and help each other as we age in our own homes.  Ms. Olson is an Oklahoma farm-girl holding a degree in Education from Southern Nazarene University.  For the past 35 years she’s tackled issues of aging from within several retirement communities, hospitals and nursing homes and as frequent caregiving consultant to families. She has extensive experience as the responsible caregiver for several family members.  At separate times she has been caregiver for a 92-year old Aunt in Medford, an 89 year old uncle in Marlow, and for ten years her 103 year old mother.  Marilyn and her husband say they are enjoying their best decade yet with three grown daughters, their husbands and 10 above-average grandchildren.

As a hub organization, we share knowledge and resources, still allowing multiple Villages to develop their own neighborhood organizations. Susan Ellis serves as Area Commander for The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma. Susan oversees programs and services throughout the service area of Canadian, Cleveland and Oklahoma counties. She grew up in Augusta, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. She enjoys knitting and crocheting, cooking, and cycling with her husband.

 

Jill Walker plays a very active role at The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma through her volunteerism. She currently serves on The Salvation Army Advisory Board and is treasurer for The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma’s Women’s Auxiliary. She is co-owner of Maccini Construction Company, a general contracting and construction management firm in business since 1982, providing commercial and residential construction services.

 

Claire Dowers-Nichols is the Executive Director of Healthy Living OKC, Oklahoma City’s first MAPS 3 Adult Wellness Center. Claire has spent her career developing programs to better serve older Oklahomans. She serves in a variety of leadership and advisory roles for state and national organizations and is excited to be involved with Senior Day at the Capitol. REGISTER FOR SENIOR DAY HERE
