Michael C. Patterson is a scholar, educator and speaker who develops programs to promote successful aging, brain health, creativity and quality-of-life. Michael ran the award-winning Staying Sharp program at AARP and is founder and CEO of MINDRAMP Consulting. Michael is a certified brain health coach. He produces and hosts the MINDRAMP Podcast that provides practical advice on how to achieve Qualongevity.

Roger Anunsen is an award-winning educator, keynote speaker, cognitive intervention designer, program consultant and brain health coach based in Oregon.  Roger is the president of MINDRAMP and introduced the MINDRAMP Method© at the University of Oxford.  He teaches college courses including The Aging Mind & an important course specifically redesigned for this challenging time Virtual Cognitive Activity Design.

Sunbeam Family Services is asking the community to help raise funds to receive a $20,000 matching gift from the Anderson Charitable Foundation. Donations will support Sunbeam‚Äôs Senior Services program, including the only shelter in Oklahoma designed to support the needs of seniors over the age of 60.¬† In the Oklahoma City-area, more than 1,200 residents are experiencing homelessness, including over 300 senior adults. Year-round, Sunbeam works to end senior homelessness through its Emergency Senior Shelter

Anne PetersAnne Peters serves as the marketing and communications manager for Sunbeam Family Services in Oklahoma City. Originally from Enid in northwest Oklahoma, she graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She previously worked for six years as the director of public relations for the Oklahoma Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain. She enjoys helping organizations find the best ways to communicate about their meaningful work.
Talena Ford is the Caregiver Fundamentals Program Manager with Sunbeam Family Services. Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, Caregiver Fundamentals and Respite Care are three of the programs she manages. Ms. Ford has more than 18 years of experience working with self-sufficiency programs. She received her Master’s degree in Administrative Leadership from The University of Oklahoma. Cynthia Barnes manages The Longest Day, a fundraising program with Alzheimer’s Association. With a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts and a Masters in Business Administration, she began in nonprofit work at the Cowboy Hall of Fame. She lost both grandfathers to vascular dementia and is passionate about working to find a cure and provide assistance and community for family and caregivers.

 

Morgan Fitzgerald is the Volunteer Manager for the Alzheimer’s Association- Oklahoma Chapter. She received her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Public Health at the University of Oklahoma. Through her time working at a retirement community she saw how the disease affected many loved ones and their families. Working¬†for the Alzheimer’s Association allows her to fight back against this disease.

Patty Rhodes, a¬†VillagesOKC member since June 2019,¬†has been a volunteer in the VilkagesOKC office two days a week. ¬†She is responsible for¬†handling the¬†day to day¬†accounting/bookkeeping functions for VillagesOKC. ¬† Patty says, ‚ÄúAfter the death of my husband, I‚Äôve found a new purpose¬†by¬†using the skills and knowledge from her professional career to help VillagesOKC grow.‚ÄĚ

 

Bill Johnson¬†is a retired CPA. ¬†A¬†VillagesOKC member since¬†January 2019¬†Bill says, ‚ÄúI came to VillagesOKC¬†wanting¬†to help others, but instead found¬†I‚Äôve received much more.‚ÄĚ ¬†Bill‚Äôs¬†years as a Chief Financial Officer followed by 10 years at¬†H & R Block, he has been able to use that knowledge to¬†provide wise leadership to¬†the VillagesOKC¬†financial strategy.

 

Marilyn Olson is Executive Director of VillagesOKC, a virtual community of mature adults helping each other to live in the homes of their choosing.  The organization serves member/volunteers by connecting trusted members with organizations and trusted businesses.

Sheryl Presley, TRIAD Coordinator, Oklahoma City Police Department became Oklahoma City’s TRIAD Coordinator on October of 1998. This position requires working with the 50-Plus Community in Oklahoma City; she also works closely with the Oklahoma County Sheriffs Department in educating the 50-Plus citizens of Oklahoma as to their rights, opportunities available to them and laws that may affect their lives. Sheryl holds an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Oklahoma State University. She has held several Fraud Forums for Oklahoma City Police Department and Piedmont Police Department. She has enjoyed a long acquaintance with the Oklahoma City Police Department. Her father, George Doughty, served with the Oklahoma City Police Department for 34 years. She has a son, Skyler, who keeps her very busy.

Chase also serves at Inner City Church (on the same campus as OKC DC) as the Associate Pastor.  It is our passion at OKC Dream Center to reach, rescue, and restore those isolated by poverty and help make dreams come true.  Chase and the rest of the team of incredible volunteers pursue the vision to win and train countless people for Christ.

LaTasha Clark, is a happily married, mother of 4. She is the Community Resource Director at The Okc Dream Center. She assists and connect the residents of our community with the resources provided by the Okc Dream Center. Resources such as, access to our computer lab, food through our food pantry, and clothing through our clothing closet.  She is also the director of the Nourish after school program. We’ve partnered with our neighboring elementary school and offer a program from 3-6p with daily activities, fellowships, and dinner.

Nikkita Bowler-Forcha, better know as Nikki, is the Marketing and Sales Director of Villagio Senior Living of OKC. Nikki has been with Villagio of OKC community for the last six years. she has grown with the changes her community because she started out as a caregiver 15 years ago and from there Nikki knew where my heart belonged and that was helping Seniors and their families.
Caitlin Cairns has been a member of the Villagio at Bradford Village staff for 8 years. She is a registered drama therapist and spent several years as the activities director for the campus and is currently the Assistant Director for Bradford Village. Caitlin loves being part of the Villagio and Bradford Village families.
