Jill Huff is the Director of Marketing at Spanish Cove Retirement Village. She has over 13 years’ experience at Spanish Cove Retirement Village and over 20 years’ experience in senior living in Oklahoma. She is dedicated to helping seniors and their families find the perfect retirement living plan. She has a her Masters in Health Administration from the University of Oklahoma College of Public Health where she focused on senior living.

 

Debbie Miller, CPT, (Certified Personal Trainer) has worked at Spanish Cove Retirement Village as the Director of Wellness and Resident Relations for the past 28 years. Debbie is a certified personal trainer, fitness specialist for older adults, master Tai Chi for Better Balance instructor and has been yoga trained. Debbie helped pioneer the first senior dragon boat paddling team in Oklahoma, that is still active to this day.

 

Bill and Helen Gillespie came to Spanish Cove nearly 2 years ago. Originally born in Ohio, Bill earned a degree in Law Enforcement at Oklahoma City University & served for many years with the Oklahoma City Police Department. Helen was born in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and has lived in many Oklahoma towns.  She graduated from East Central University with a Bachelor of Science degree.  After retiring Bill and Helen have participated in many volunteer services. Bill currently serves as an officer in Spanish Cove’s Town Hall and is a member of Spanish Cove’s Dragon Boat Team.

Moira Roush has lived in Edmond Oklahoma for the last 30 years and has been playing pickleball for 2 1/2 years. She is in the PPR (professional pickleball registry) as well as a certified pickleball instructor and is professional sponsored by Selkirk (a pickleball paddle manufacture) Moira spends her time traveling with her husband playing in pickleball tournaments and teaching pickleball. Moira has medaled in USA Nationals, the US Open and the National Senior Games in June 2019 in Albuquerque New Mexico.

 

Linda Piatt is the Treasurer of the Oklahoma City Table Tennis Club. She has participated in the Senior Games at the state level for the past six years and at the national level for the first time in February 2019 held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Linda grew up playing ping pong in her family’s basement as a kid and through out her life. In 2009 she found that the sport of table tennis was more complex than she originally thought but she is loving every minute of learning this

Orion Whitney has been a Tennis Champ since high school and in his 50’s began his companion in the Oklahoma Senior Games. Orion was Born 1934 in Oklahoma City. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma University and was also commissioned as 2nd Lt in  1957 in the USAF – A MS in Industrial Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1966 and he retired after 20 years in 1978 from the USAF career. Plus Orion received a Bronze star for his service in Vietnam in 1966. Orion has been Married to Hedi Whitney for 63 years and they have 6 children(2 sons deceased) and reside in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Wesley (Wes) Miller was born and raised on a farm in western Oklahoma (Thomas Oklahoma), Wes has pursued three careers during his life; Farming, Teaching, and the Oilfield.  Four years ago, my son-in-law saw me run/walk a 5K and offered to be my coach.  I did an indoor triathlon series and was hooked.

Mom and her twin sister were born in 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas, and her parents later moved the family to Bethany, Oklahoma. There my grandfather, John Diffee, opened the Diffee Motor Company—still a well-known auto dealership in El Reno today.
Mom always says she married the love of her life, Gordon Gunn. They married in 1955 and moved to Ada, Oklahoma, where my three brothers and I were born and raised.My Dad (my Mom’s Husband of 62 Years) was diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s in 2007. This Show is dedicated to my Dad and family caregivers everywhere, we will inform you and help you as you navigate the road as a family caregiver.

Meet my youngest brother, Nathan Gunn—and his wife Sally Gunn Presidents and Co-Founders of Jesus Booth Ministries, an Oklahoma City-based mission organization.

Nathan & Sally has spent the last 30 years ministering in Los Angeles, Texas, Oklahoma, New York, Africa, India, and the United Kingdom. Now he spends most of the week ministering to people right here in Oklahoma City—on downtown streets and at the bus station. Danny Eischen –For the past 11 years, Danny Eischen has served as the Chief Operating Officer/Executive Director for Concordia Life Plan Community. Danny holds a Master’s of Gerontology from UCO and has worked in Senior Living for the past 24 years. He also serves on the board for LeadingAge Oklahoma and VillagesOKC.

 

Chris Coleman –Christopher Coleman is Concordia’s Wellness Coordinator, Personal trainer and Group instructor. Christopher graduated from Averett University in Danville, Virginia. He completed his internship and training under certified Physical and Occupational therapists. His goal is to reduce falls and empower older adults through teaching better movement.

 

Megan Carter –Megan is Concordia Lifestyles and Transportation Director. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Health Education and Promotion. Megan has worked for Concordia for 8 years and started as an Intern. Megan was honored as the Leading Age Oklahoma ‘Outstanding Employee for Resident Services of the Year’ in 2014. She also coordinates Concordia’s Wellness on Wheels Program.
