Carly Cartmill may have been born in Texas but calls Oklahoma home. Carly graduated from the Children’s Institute of Literature in 2008 with writing and publishing her first book, The Split Pea Soup Caper. With the enjoyment of writing and making kids of all ages, laugh, smile or giggle, Carly has written six other children’s books.
Skunk Juice, Operation Funny Bone, Monster Lady, Stuffed, Gimme Paw Five and Eye Boogers, a mama paws misfit story. Find Carly on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Carly works full time for Nortek Air Solutions, Okarche, OK, but most of all is working on being a new Grammy to her new grandson, Ezra.

Sue McMillan Bio: I wear many hats. I am a legal assistant to my husband’s law firm, a licensed Certified Fraud Examiner, Real Estate Broker, sell insurance and investments. We also farm with a cow-calf operation. In 2013 I founded Socks for Seniors OK, in 2018 Socks for Seniors OK became a 501(c)3 charitable organization. I am a wife, mother to 3, grandmother to 6 and great grandmother to 13 as well as my dog, 2 cats and 2 donkeys.

Nancy Doran Bio: I currently work part time as a contracted accountant and volunteer as an Administrator for Socks for Seniors OK. I retired in 2016 after 25 years’ experience in management of administrative services & logistics in a manufacturing environment. I have over 3 years’ experience in management of software implementation and over 7 years of experience in the retail and banking environment. I am widowed & a mother to 1 son and 1 grandson.

Mary Margaret McMiller, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with a Master of Social Work degree from The Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. She currently works as a clinical director at Sunbeam Family Services in Oklahoma City. Mary Margaret has over ten years of experience in the field of social work.

Laini Ryan is a Care Navigator in the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and Mental Health program with Sunbeam Family Services. She has prior experience in Sunbeam’s foster care program. Laini is currently a Masters of Social Work Student at the University of Oklahoma. Laini is passionate about supporting children and families in Oklahoma.

Monique Shields is currently a Care Navigator with Sunbeam Family Services in the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and Mental Health program. Monique has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Substance Abuse. Monique has worked for Sunbeam for 7 months today. Monique is passionate about helping others in need.
