As savvy professional women in their 40’s who are also young mothers, Amy and Dana are just two of the many younger adults giving leadership to the concept of aging successfully, and also encouraging everyone to support this concept of VillagesOKC. In this OSJ Show, they tell how VillagesOKC is different from most and why they are ‘all in’ on the mission to make OKC the most joyful place to age well. Their focus this week is Love Your Age.

VillagesOKC Operations Manager, Amy Shirola, brings corporate organizational experience and intergenerational connections to the organization of mature adults. her experience at Hertz as Fleet Accounting Supervisor, leader as Alumni Director at her alma mater, her podcast, “Around the Campfire with Amy”, and her years loving and learning from two sets of grandparents make her well suited for VillagesOKC. Amy and her husband, Andy, are parents to 3 young adults—two in college and one in high school.
Dana Bellows is VillagesOKC media creative and project manager for THE GIFT Workshop. Her broad experience with State Farm, at United Healthcare and 8 years at Christian Bros. Automotive provide the kills needed for a small, growing organization. Dana was part of the initial story behind THE GIFT Workshops and has been learning about aging closeup for the past decade. Dana and her husband, Reuben, are parents to three—one elementary, one middle school and one high school student.
