Julie Brown, RN, grew up in Kansas, became a nurse and moved to Oklahoma City in 1991. She began working for Hospice of Oklahoma County the following year. It was her passion for 20 years. In 2012 she discovered Clarehouse in Tulsa- a community home for the dying. She immediately knew that God was calling her to create a similar home in the OKC area. After retiring from Integris in 2018, she founded Agape Road, a nonprofit, end-of-life care home for those on hospice that are unable to be managed at home. She says “There is nothing more fulfilling that to be able to walk God’s children to the gates of heaven. “
Suzanne Land is President of the Board and co-founder of Agape Road. She has a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education, currently working occasional part time as a Case Manager at INTEGRIS Health. She considers her position in Agape Road to be a blessing. Being a part of God’s mission for our community is humbling and she is thankful to be a part of it.
