In 2002, Pastor Rob and Deb Burke began ministering at Inner City Church with the vision of one day having an organization like the Los Angeles Dream Center. Soon they were able to establish a food pantry, clothing closet, outreach programs for kids, and more. In 2012, Chase Parsons met up with Pastor Deborah Burke in pursuit of a like-minded vision of establishing an OKC Dream Center. The OKC Dream Center began Saturday adopt-a-blocks and mentorship classes. As the relationship grew stronger, Pastor Deborah Burke and Chase Parsons agreed to combine their ministry efforts and in 2014, OKC Dream Center took over all outreach programs with Inner City Church.
OKC Dream Center seeks to reach, rescue, and restore people isolated by poverty in OKC through meeting basic needs with hunger relief, clothing closet, and seasonal drives. Preventative programs for at-risk kids and youth. Community Resource Center provides assistance with employment, education, family counseling, foster care intervention, and more. They also have Dream Center Living, their transitional residential program for men.
