3-21-20: Sunbeam Family Services – Talena Ford and Anne Peters

In studio: Sunbeam Family Services: Anne Peters, Marketing & Communications Manager and Talena Ford, Caregiver Fundamentals Program Manager. Sunbeam Family Services is asking the community to help raise funds to receive a $20,000 matching gift from the Anderson Charitable Foundation. Donations will support Sunbeam’s Senior Services program, including the only shelter in Oklahoma designed to support the needs of seniors over the age of 60. In the Oklahoma City-area, more than 1,200 residents are experiencing homelessness, including over 300 senior adults. Year-round, Sunbeam works to end senior homelessness through its Emergency Senior Shelter
Anne Peters serves as the marketing and communications manager for Sunbeam Family Services in Oklahoma City. Originally from Enid in northwest Oklahoma, she graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She previously worked for six years as the director of public relations for the Oklahoma Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain. She enjoys helping organizations find the best ways to communicate about their meaningful work.
Talena Ford is the Caregiver Fundamentals Program Manager with Sunbeam Family Services. Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, Caregiver Fundamentals and Respite Care are three of the programs she manages. Ms. Ford has more than 18 years of experience working with self-sufficiency programs. She received her Master’s degree in Administrative Leadership from The University of Oklahoma.
