Nature art at Martin Park Nature Center

Experience nature through art at Martin Park Nature Center
Try your hand at several nature-themed art projects and observe local artists at work during the free, annual Fall Into Art event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 21 at Martin Park Nature Center, 5000 W Memorial Road.

Visitors can make fish prints, sand paintings, splatter watercolors, butterfly crafts and bagel birdfeeders. Artist Julie Yang will be demonstrating stop-gap movie making, and PlenAir Painters of Central Oklahoma will be painting throughout the park. Kids can join Little Geek Sing-A-Long for some musical fun at 1 and 2 p.m.

“We would like visitors to experience the wonder of nature,” said Martin Park Naturalist Emily Hiatt. “There are many different ways to appreciate nature. It’s a great way to get kids away from screens and in the out of doors.”
