The Oklahoma Senior Journal has been a sponsor to the Senior Day at the State capital for over 10 years and this year our Moto is “Hear Our Voices” in studio we have neurologist Dr. Odenheimer and the MC for Senior Day at the State Capitol State of Oklahoma Ombudsman Rebekah Williams!

Dr. Odenheimer speaks on Seniors after retirement and how they can be one of the most impactful age groups to our Senators and Congressmen!
Ms. Williams will speak on the power of using a States Ombudsman as well has the program line up for Senior Day (Hear Our Voices!)
February the 27th starting at 8:30am to noon! Second Floor Rotunda at the Oklahoma State Capital Building there will be informative vendors and takeaway information along with volunteers taking you to your State Senators & Councilman/Weman so they can “Hear Your Voice” we will also be able to fill up the senate floor and contribute and let your “Voice Be Heard!”
The Oklahoma Senior Journal will be there handing out the New 30th Anniversary issue of the OSJ Magazine, pack full of resources for the 50-Plus, Caregivers and Adult Children and we encourage (to make a difference in our State) for Seniors, Caregivers (family & professional) and Adult Children of the 50 plus to attend Senior Day at the State Capital, See You There!

Rebekah Williams has been a strong advocate in the Aging industry for over 18 years. For the last 8 years, Rebekah has been an Ombudsman based out of the Southern Oklahoma Developing Association in Durant. Dr. Odenheimer, a Geriatric Neurologist, retired from OU College of Medicine in 2018. She treated people with dementiaand their families. She ran the Geriatric rotation for medical students and was liaison between the VA and state Veterans Homes.

She continues advocacy for seniors and people with dementia.  She stays involved with Alzheimer’s support groups and was recently funded to build a garden for people with dementia and their caregivers at Will Rogers Gardens.
